Clouds over dark history
‘Clouds over dark history’ is een zwaar werk; zwaar om het verhaal dat wordt uitgebeeld over een oude adellijke familie, waarover duistere verhalen de ronde doen. Over hun riant huis met een toren en een entree met grote dubbele deuren en een grote bibliotheek met veel oude geschriften.
Een huis dat in vlammen opging onder mysterieuze omstandigheden.
Inwoners van Vught (NL) zouden een vergelijking kunnen trekken.
Vandaar een mixed media werk op paneel in diverse tinten zwart acryl als achtergrond met zwarte wolken boven een huis, waarbij ijzeren balkankers uit een middeleeuws huis in Zaltbommel hier het dak en de bibliotheek symboliseren. En ‘verbrande boeken’, die de niet geheel gewiste historie van de familie voorstellen.
Zwaar ook door de samenstelling van de materialen van dit werk en de speciaal door Lijstenmakerij Monart gebouwde bijpassende lijst met dubbel ophangsysteem.

Clouds over dark history
'Clouds over dark history' is a heavy work; heavy about the story that is portrayed about an old noble family, about which dark stories circulate. About their spacious house with a tower and an entrance with large double doors and a large library with many old writings.
A house that went up in flames under mysterious circumstances.
Residents of Vught (NL) could draw a comparison.
Hence a mixed media work on panel in various shades of black acrylic as a background with black clouds above a house, where iron bar anchors from a medieval house in Zaltbommel here symbolize the roof and the library. And 'burnt books', which represent the not completely erased history of the family.
Also heavy due to the composition of the materials of this work and the matching frame with double suspension system built especially by Lijstmakerij Monart.
