ARS CELARE ARTEM Q.E.D. (quod erat demonstrandum) betekent:
De grootste kunst is, de kunst te verbergen; aan het kunstwerk moet men niet kunnen zien hoeveel moeite het gekost heeft. Wat hiermee bewezen is.
Dit mixed media werk bestaat uit een loden plaat van 100x100cm, die met chemicaliën is bewerkt en op een houten paneel is gemonteerd.
Op het lood is door middel van ingebrande rode oliepastel een tekening gemaakt, waarna met zwart potlood de bovenstaande tekst is getekend en met zwarte oliepastel cijfers zijn aangebracht.
De bewerking van het lood, de montage op het houten paneel, het inbranden van de oliepastel en het met potlood aanbrengen van de letters bracht mij tot de titel van dit werk.
Het werk is door Lijstenmakerij Monart gekaderd in een monumentale zwarte lijst, formaat 128x128cm. Het werk is van een dubbel ophangsysteem voorzien.
Het werk is rechtsonder gesigneerd.

ARS CELARE ARTEM QED (quod erat demonstrandum)
ARS CELARE ARTEM Q.E.D. means:
The greatest art is to hide the art; the artwork should not be able to see how much effort it cost. What is proven with this.
This mixed media work consists of a lead plate of 100x100cm, which has been processed with chemicals and mounted on a wooden panel.
A drawing has been made on the lead by means of burnt in red oil pastels, after which the above text is drawn with black pencil and figures are applied with black oil pastel figures.
The processing of the lead, the assembly on the wooden panel, the burning in of the oil pastel and the application of the letters with pencil brought me to the title of this work.
The work has been framed by Monarch Listed Monarch in a monumental black frame, size 128x128cm. The work is equipped with a double suspension system.
The work is signed at the bottom right.
