Introductie
Jan-Clemens Lampe werkt bij zijn schilderijen in Acryl meestal op linnen.  Hij gebruikt hiervoor Professioneel handgespannen opgedikt schildersdoek van Belgisch linnen, blind geniet op Artel aluminium spieraam.. De meest door Lampe gebruikte afmeting is 100x100cm, maar op verzoek kan in iedere gangbare maat geleverd worden.

Jan-Clemens Lampe mostly works on canvas for his paintings in Acryl. He uses Professionally hand-tightly upholstered canvas of Belgian linen, blind on Artel aluminum frame. The most used by Lampe is 100x100cm, but can be supplied in any standard size on request.

Keuze van het materiaal:
Bij het ontwerp van onze nieuwe spie latten hebben wij bewust voor aluminium als grondstof gekozen. Aluminium is namelijk het enige materiaal dat in praktijk sterk genoeg is om de krachten die op een spieraam uitgeoefend worden op te vangen. In verhouding tot hout heeft het een veel grotere (buig) stijfheid en wordt uiteraard niet beïnvloed door temperatuur of vocht veranderingen.

Ontwerp van het spieraam:
Een stevige spielat ontwerpen is een ding, het geheel monteren tot een stevig geheel is iets heel anders. Artel spielatten worden door middel van een massieve aluminium hoek met elkaar verbonden. Deze verbinding wordt in het profiel vastgeschroefd waardoor een spieraam ontstaat dat vele male sterker is dan traditionele spieramen met houten hoek verbinding. Bij grotere maten wordt tevens gebruik gemaakt van een massief aluminium kruislat die zelfs bij extreme spanningen niet gaat doorbuigen.

The new generation of Artel Aluminum stretcher bars are designed in such a way that warping of the frame is no longer possible. This is achieved by 1 the choice of material and 2 the design of the muscle name.

Choice of material:
We deliberately opted for aluminum as the raw material for the design of our new spigots. Aluminum is in fact the only material that is strong enough in practice to absorb the forces exerted on a muscle frame. In relation to wood, it has a much larger (bending) stiffness and is of course not influenced by temperature or moisture changes.

Design of the muscle name:
Designing a sturdy spielat is one thing, assembling the whole into a solid whole is something completely different. Artel spielatten are connected to each other by means of a solid aluminum corner. This connection is screwed into the profile, creating a muscle name that is many times stronger than traditional muscle joints with a wooden corner joint. Larger sizes also use a solid aluminum crossbar that will not bend even under extreme stresses.
