Stilte & Zonsopgang (Silence&Dawn) is een project uit 2010 van Paul De Bruyne; hij is als is associated lector en docent regie verbonden aan de Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten te Tilburg.
Hij schrijft hierover het volgende:
"Zo’n vijftien jaar geleden overleed mijn vader. Ook in mijn leven was dat een mijlpaal. Het doorbreken van een keten. Het versterken van een keten. Dat wat verdwijnt komt steeds dichterbij. Steeds dichter bij en onder je huid. En onder die van je kinderen. In 1997 schreef ik er een toneelstuk over, Rokersbeen. En nu had ik zin om terug te kijken en een ogenblik stil te staan. Met materiaal uit Rokersbeen, met muziek van Brassafrik, met een gedicht van Leonard Nolens, met De Muzetuin en onder het motto van Samuel Beckett: ‘Ja, ik was mijn vader en ik was mijn zoon. Ik stelde mezelf vragen en ik heb geantwoord zo goed als ik kon’. Terug kijken doe je in stilte en bij zonsopgang. Dat is altijd zo geweest."
De acteurs Tjerry Snel, Hanna Schopenhauer, Toon Ory, Paul van de Waterlaat, Maureen Bechoe en Daan Joosen.

Figuranten (wisselend bij voorstellingen).
*) Aangezien er geen generale repetitie was en er principieel niet gefotografeerd wordt tijdens voorstellingen, heeft de regisseur de fotograaf in de scènes geïntegreerd, daar waar het mogelijk was. Het hele proces werd door de fotograaf Jan-Clemens Lampe vastgelegd. Er zijn wel opnamen foto's van alle repetitiescènes.
De voorbereiding van de voorstelling op de 3 dagen begon om 03:30 in de morgen met de inrichting van de scènes op de diverse plaatsen in de Muzetuin en het verzorgen van de audiotechniek..
Om 04:00 uur komen de figuranten om de kleding te passen. Toon Ory, de ontwerper van de kostuums kleedt de figuranten.
Aansluitend wordt met de figuranten de route van de processie door de tuin geoefend en aansluitend wordt de indeling van de processie vastgesteld. Naar gelang van het aantal beschikbare figuranten is bij de ene voorstelling de processie langer dan bij een andere voorstelling.

Het gehele proces van aanvang repetities tot voorstelling is door Jan-Clemens Lampe vastgelegd; dit met uitzondering van de voorstellingen, aangezien hijzelf figureerde in de processie aan het begin van de voorstelling en slechts beperkt kon fotograferen.

Extra's (varying on different days).
The preparation of the performance started on the three performances at 03:30 hours with the arrangement of the scenes in the garden and installing and testing the audio technique.
At 04:00 hours the extra's for the procession arrive to be dressed by Toon Ory, the designer of the costumes.
Directly after the dressing, the extra's get the instruction about the order of personages, the special steps and the route of the procession through the garden.
From 04:45 until 05:00 hours the reception of the viewers at the front of the church on the marketplace in Tilburg, where they are invited to visit a chapel nearby.

In the chapel the poem by Samuel Beckett: ‘Yes, I was my father and I was my son' was recited in three different languages and was these text monotone repeated.
From the chapel the viewers where walked to the garden at the Fontys high school for arts (FHK) and took place at the footbridge, transecting the garden.

The entire process from the start of rehearsals to the performance has been recorded by Jan-Clemens Lampe; this with the exception of the performances, as he himself figured in the procession at the beginning of the performance and could only take limited photographs.
